The PPR Spring Check Valve is an automatic non-return valve with PPR heat fusion sockets on both ends allowing water to flow in one direction only while the internal spring mechanism automatically closes to prevent backflow when flow stops or reverses. Unlike
manually operated stop valves and ball valves, the check valve requires no manual operation it opens under forward flow pressure and closes automatically when that pressure drops or reverses.

Always check the flow direction arrow marked on the valve body before welding installing a check valve backwards allows backflow freely and blocks forward flow completely, which is the opposite of the intended function.
Install horizontally wherever possible spring check valves
perform most reliably in horizontal installations where gravity does not affect the spring closing mechanism.
