Inspect union nut O-ring periodically for wear at service points.
Use spanner on brass union flats only — never grip PPR sockets.
Hand-tighten union nut then quarter turn — do not overtighten.

Merchandising tips
Install a union adaptor at every equipment isolation point during
initial system installation retrofitting later requires cutting
the pipe and adding extra fittings at greater cost and disruption.
Check and replace the union nut O-ring if any weeping is noticed
at the union joint the O-ring is the sealing element and
degrades over time under pressure and temperature cycling.
